
Making Sustainability Star of the Show
Deeply rooted in the environmental ethos of Santa Barbara, the Bowl has undergone massive venue greening efforts and are world frontrunners in event greening. We supported them in popularizing various innovative sustainability initiatives, including an ongoing reusable pint cup campaign: #mypintandme, which Oniracom helped the Bowl launch in partnership with Jack Johnson, and a water refill station to reduce demand for plastic water bottles. Publicizing all of these efforts – and a more recent r-cup program that gives refunds for reusing or returning drinking cups – established the Bowl as an environmental thought leader among venues. Other venues, locally and internationally, have also started to follow suit.
