Cannabis Legislative Wins from 2020

2020 saw an abundance of landmark wins for cannabis. Read on for our top 10 victories for legislative progress, restorative justice, and industry growth.

Cannabis reform is bringing Americans of different political affiliations and ideologies together. Voters approved every statewide legalization measure presented to them on Election Day. The success of cannabis ballot initiatives in traditionally “red”-leaning states such as Montana, Mississippi, and South Dakota, is an especially promising indicator that the number of Republicans supporting the cannabis policy reform movement will continue to grow.

Americans everywhere are recognizing the benefits and potential of cannabis. As public sentiment around cannabis shifts, we are seeing dramatic change at the state level across the nation. It is only a matter of time before federal laws and regulations reflect that shift.
