Oniracom was proud to show support at Coastal’s grand opening event! Local, regional and industry leaders showed up to celebrate the one of the first premier luxury cannabis dispensaries opening in downtown Santa Barbara.
Coastal Dispensary LLC at 1019 Chapala St. is one of the three permitted retail cannabis stores selected by the city. The Farmacy Santa Barbara was the first to open its doors and hosted a similar launch event on Saturday August 24th, more than a year after cannabis sales became legal in the state.
The Farmacy’s founder, Graham Farrar, is a local cannabis farmer and an outspoken advocate for cannabis awareness and education. He also is president of CARP Growers, an organization dedicated to encouraging sustainable cannabis farming practices. Some of the products at The Farmacy are made by companies in Santa Barbara including Autumn Brands, and Glass House, which is also owned by Farrar.
Oniracom has been working alongside these industry leaders and with the Cannabis Business Council of Santa Barbara County (CBCSB) which currently serves as the leading voice of cannabis farmers and business owners in the Santa Barbara region. We’re committed to working with the community and CBCSB to achieve smart, fair regulations that honor Santa Barbara’s agricultural history, support good jobs and economic development, and promote public safety and compliance with the law.
Recreational marijuana sales became legal in California on Jan. 1, 2018. California overwhelmingly passed Proposition 64, the law governing recreational pot in the state, in November 2016. Under the law, adults can possess, grow and use limited quantities of marijuana, as well as other restrictions.
