America DIY is a digital main street for bulk construction and landscaping materials, connecting local suppliers with local buyers through an easy to use website and app.
In creating this online platform, America DIY has disrupted their industry. Drawing from their experience as operators of several business units in the home, garden, and construction space, domestically and internationally, they built a platform that is like the quasi Angie’s List of the industry, cutting out the traditional middlemen with their two-sided marketplace. Through technology, ADIY makes finding, ordering, and receiving bulk materials fast, simple, and convenient.
With a mission to save marketplace participants time and money by directly connecting construction & landscape material suppliers to local buyers, this family business hired Oniracom to build them a new brand identity and strategy, and ultimately to construct their website, and optimize their platform.
To successfully bring America DIY to market, we leveraged our Actionable Intelligence™ service to accurately reflect the goals and needs of the America DIY business units, value proposition, and product lines. We started with an intelligence study on the market and target audience, followed by crafting a tailored Brand Platform.
From our intelligence study, our team created a compelling, data-backed brand to set America DIY apart from the competition. America DIY became equipped with a unified Brand Story to be used in web and print materials, and Style Guide with organized visual elements to ensure consistency in how the brand shows up in the market for all entities. This together with a content strategy to drive brand awareness set the brand up for success as they moved into our beta testing period.

Following the rollout of this intentional branding, we presented them with a consulting retainer as part of an ongoing engagement to support their sales and marketing strategy, and continue to collaborate with their executive team.
As part of our continued collaboration, our video team created a 4.5 minutes sales video, and a 4K 30-second commercial, both delivered in 3 formats for optimal viewing and distribution on various online and social platforms.
The explainer video provides ADIY with a tool to build trust with their target audience of independent owners of landscaping material suppliers, and inspire them to join the platform.
